Mohammad Ali Dehghan-Dahani, at the thirtieth ceremony of National Export Day, emphasized the importance of supporting exporters and called for the removal of internal barriers and strengthening the infrastructure for export development. He highlighted the position of exporters in the country's economy during this event, which was attended by Masoud Pezeshkian, Abbas Araghchi, and Seyed Mohammad Atabak.

Sustainability in Difficult Economic Conditions

Dehghan-Dahani referred to the challenges arising from war, sanctions, and economic blockade, noting the efforts of exporters to maintain trade flow. He stated that despite issues in the transfer of funds, exporters have remained committed to their obligations and contributed to sustaining employment. These efforts demonstrate the vital role of exporters in maintaining the flow of trade and economic activities in the country.

The Necessity of Easing Barriers and Compensating Costs

The head of the Iran Trade Development Organization also pointed to the importance of transportation routes in foreign trade, stating that 75 percent of the country's foreign trade is conducted via sea. He added that with the efforts of various agencies, especially the private sector, alternative routes have been redefined, and trade has continued.

Dehghan-Dahani emphasized that the increase in transportation costs under current conditions makes the allocation of appropriate incentives one of the solutions to compensate for rising costs. He stressed the need to remove existing barriers in trade routes and simplify regulations so that economic actors can access global markets.

Finally, Dehghan-Dahani expressed hope that the 10 proposals for supporting exporters would be considered in the decision-making process and that the resolution of issues and removal of barriers to export development would be expedited.
