Saeed Tavakoli, the CEO of the National Iranian Gas Company, announced an increase in gas delivery to the country's major industries by one billion cubic meters. This increase is mainly related to the steel and petrochemical industries and indicates the absence of limitations in fuel supply for these industries. Tavakoli referred to the impacts of the imposed war on some of these industries and stated that due to special conditions, gas can be continuously delivered to these sectors.
Crisis Management and Gas Network Stability
The CEO of the National Iranian Gas Company considered the increase in gas delivery as a sign of success in crisis management and the stability of the gas network, referring to the country's refinery conditions after recent incidents. He added that despite the challenges ahead in ensuring sustainable gas supply, the performance in the first six months of this year compared to last year reflects the high resilience of the country's gas network.

Maintaining Gas Supply Levels for Power Plants
Tavakoli further compared gas delivery performance in the first six months of this year with the same period last year, stating that despite a 14% decrease in the volume of gas delivered, the share of gas supply to power plants has been maintained at nearly the same level. This year, 85% and last year 86% of the fuel basket needs of power plants were met with gas. This situation indicates continuous efforts to prevent electricity imbalance and ensure fuel supply for production and industrial sectors.
Tavakoli also emphasized that the entire gas industry of the country has prioritized fuel supply for power plants, utilizing all its capabilities to ensure that the wheels of the economy do not stop under difficult production conditions. These figures clearly reflect the determination and will of the gas industry to continue economic and industrial activities in the country.
