Mohammad Jafar Ghaempanah, the Executive Vice President, at the opening ceremony of the 25th International Exhibition of Livestock, Poultry, and Related Industries, emphasized the necessity of energy consumption management in production units during winter. He pointed out the challenges of the country's energy supply, mentioning the pressures caused by war and sanctions, and said: "The enemy did not expect that Iran could maintain its production under the pressures of war and attacks, but the activists in the livestock and poultry sector did not allow the production process to stop through their continuous efforts."
Attention to Energy Consumption Management
Ghaempanah, referring to the gas imbalance and the damages caused by attacks on the country's gas facilities, said: "The gas imbalance existed last year, and the damage to gas facilities affected production and energy supply conditions." He advised producers to plan for the cold season from now on and to reduce gas and electricity consumption by implementing optimization strategies. The goal of these actions is to prevent unnecessary energy consumption and to avoid damage to production units.
Government Actions and Support for Producers
The Executive Vice President, while appreciating the Ministry of Agriculture for maintaining production infrastructure, referred to the continuation of livestock and poultry product exports and said: "Iran, despite decades of sanctions, has created significant capacities in meeting domestic needs and is also active in exports." He also emphasized the importance of renewing infrastructure and improving productivity and spoke about using advanced technologies to reduce the cost of products and increase productivity.
Ghaempanah, referring to the necessity of completing the value chain of livestock products, noted: "The use of modern technologies in the production chain is essential." According to him, specialized exhibitions should provide the grounds for effective communication between knowledge, capital, and the real needs of production and serve as a platform for forming effective contracts and transferring experience.
In conclusion, Ghaempanah emphasized that with national solidarity and collective effort, it is possible to overcome the current difficult conditions and continue the path of progress and pride for Iran by relying on the country's capabilities.
