The conference "Women, Life, Freedom" was held with the aim of forming the Coordination and Leadership Council of this movement. In this conference, 17 activists and representatives of various organizations within the country expressed their opinions and experiences.

The Necessity of Creating a Political Alternative

Sasan Ardakani, a representative of the "National Network of Women-Life-Freedom Revolution" at this conference, stated that Iran needs a comprehensive alternative that brings together various political forces, from parties to individual activists and organizations. He emphasized that this synergy is essential to achieve at least common goals.

Mohyi, a female student and a victim of the nationwide protests of 2021, also referred to the importance of solidarity in Iranian society and stated that all sectors of society, from workers and students to teachers, must come together to present their demands.

Challenges on the Path to Change

Various activists at this conference addressed the challenges that exist on the path to political change in Iran. One speaker from Sistan and Baluchestan province mentioned the widespread dissatisfaction and protests in this region and said that these protests must turn into an effective political force for the goals of the "Women, Life, Freedom" movement to be realized.

Furthermore, Maryam from Fars province emphasized that addressing discrimination against women and paying attention to the issues of the LGBTQ+ community must be prioritized. She added that the revolution must go beyond optional hijab and include the demands of workers and the underprivileged sectors of society.

Moving to the next stage of change requires organizing and creating effective networks so that protests continue consistently and without interruption. Ava, one of the activists, emphasized that Iranian society is no longer a controlled subject and has become a political actor.

The conference concluded with an emphasis on the necessity of forming a comprehensive and diverse alternative. Activists stressed that dissatisfaction alone cannot bring about political change and that there is a need for organization and collaboration.
