EnerMech, a UK-based oilfield services company, has extended its non-destructive inspection contract with Chevron Australia for five years. This extension, valid until the end of 2031, includes inspection and integrity maintenance work on Chevron Australia's operations, particularly focusing on large LNG assets in Western Australia.
Contract Details and Services Provided
EnerMech, which has held this contract since 2017, will continue to support Chevron in the Gorgon and Wheatstone LNG projects. These projects include commissioning, maintenance, shutdown campaigns, and ongoing operational work. EnerMech's services include advanced non-destructive testing, condition monitoring, corrosion management services, regulatory inspections, engineering support, and specific integrity work.

Importance of Contract Extension for the LNG Industry
This extension comes at a time when LNG operators continue to maintain access and manage aging equipment in complex export facilities. The Gorgon and Wheatstone projects, recognized as Australia's largest LNG developments, are located on Barrow Island and nearby Anslaw, and require ongoing support due to technical complexities and the need for meticulous maintenance.
EnerMech also provides broader services in the areas of process, piping and subsea operations, cranes and lifting, hydraulics, valves, electrical and instrumentation, and integrity management. These services help enhance safety and efficiency in complex oil and gas operations.
