Control Measures and Continuous Inspections
Hamahosaini pointed to the price difference of products on both sides of the border and the exploitation of this situation by opportunistic individuals, adding that in the first six months of this year, over 3,540 inspections of fuel supply outlets in the province have been conducted. These inspections are aimed at preventing violations and stopping the illegal supply of oil products, especially in border areas.
He also mentioned that all fuel supply outlets in the region have emergency cards so that individuals facing difficulties can use these cards to obtain fuel. Most of the discovered fuel cards were related to private vehicles, migrant fuel cards, and public transport vehicles (taxis).
Follow-up on Violations
The manager of the National Iranian Oil Products Distribution Company in the Kurdistan region added: After blocking the unauthorized fuel cards and determining the amount of illegal supply, the matter has been referred to the company's violations committee and sent to the relevant authorities and the government’s enforcement department.
