CMA CGM Group, a global player in maritime, land, air transport, and logistics solutions, announced today that it has completed the acquisition of FedEx Supply Chain for $1.4 billion.
Expansion of Logistics Operations
This acquisition significantly expands the logistics operations of CEVA Logistics, a subsidiary of CMA CGM Group, in North America and strengthens the group's more than 25-year commitment to investing in the United States. It also supports the group's strategy to provide comprehensive and integrated logistics solutions, including maritime transport, terminals, inland transportation, warehousing, and value-added logistics.

Asset and Workforce Integration
With the integration of assets and nearly 10,000 members of the FedEx Supply Chain team, CEVA Logistics has now become one of the leading contract logistics providers in North America. This acquisition nearly triples the North American warehouse space for CEVA Logistics, adding approximately 34 million square feet of warehouse space. The combined business operates nearly 150 warehouses and expands CEVA's presence in North America to over 240 locations with a workforce of nearly 20,000 people.
Business Agreements and International Collaborations
In addition to expanding physical space, this acquisition combines complementary digital and operational capabilities, accelerating the deployment of automation and robotics across the North American network. It also deepens CEVA's expertise in the health, technology, consumer, and retail sectors, enhancing its ability to manage complex and integrated supply chains in the United States and Canada.
Alongside these developments, CMA CGM Group and FedEx have also signed multi-year business agreements in air and ocean transportation, bringing broader global collaboration. CMA CGM will act as a preferred ocean carrier for FedEx, providing transportation and carrier services under a non-exclusive agreement.
