As a key player in naval warfare, China is rapidly advancing using unconventional methods. These developments not only include improvements in military technologies but also the implementation of new strategies to enhance the country's naval capabilities.
Military Strategies and Subsurface Development
The development of new submarines in China, including the Type 095 submarine, is considered an example of these advancements. These submarines are designed with a specific shape and without sails to increase speed and stealth. Satellite information indicates that this submarine is under construction and development at two different factories in China, reflecting an increase in the production of nuclear submarines in the country.

Data Collection and Espionage Activities
China is also collecting oceanic data using unmanned underwater vehicles (UUVs). These activities are particularly carried out in the Pacific Ocean and the Arctic, raising concerns among other countries. Investigations show that many of these vehicles are linked to Chinese state-owned companies and, in some cases, engage in suspicious activities, including mapping undersea cable networks.
On the other hand, the use of methods such as anchor dragging as a form of deep underwater sabotage allows China to indirectly damage international infrastructure without openly provoking conflict. These strategies are designed to enable the denial of military actions.
