The agreement between IRIB and the Ministry of Energy to supply 40 megawatts of renewable electricity was signed with the goal of promoting optimal energy consumption and developing renewable resources. Peyman Jabali, the head of IRIB, emphasized the importance of using renewable energy in a meeting with officials from the ministry and stated that this agreement is in line with addressing energy imbalance challenges and increasing community resilience in critical conditions.

Emphasis on IRIB's Capacities

Jabali referred to the President's promise to produce 30,000 megawatts of clean energy within two years, pointing to the current capacities of the country and announced that we are currently on the verge of achieving a production capacity of 8,000 megawatts of renewable energy. He added: "The national media can lead the way in promoting optimal consumption culture by equipping its buildings with solar cells."

The Deputy Minister and Head of the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Organization, Mohsen Taraztalab, also referred to the increase in the country's renewable energy capacity during this meeting and stated: "Over 1,600 megawatts have been added to the country's renewable energy capacity in recent months." He also pointed to the potential capabilities of the southern provinces of the country for utilizing wind energy and noted that in some seasons, there is a 90 to 95 percent possibility of utilizing wind energy supply.

The Impact of National Media on Optimal Energy Consumption

In this meeting, Jabali referred to the production of over 384 hours of programming in the past year focused on solar energy and emphasized the necessity of synergy between the two organizations for energy supply and optimization. He pointed to the positive impact of national media in reducing energy consumption and added: "Due to the advertisements and content produced by the national media, over 30 percent reduction in consumption has occurred."

In this meeting, managers and deputies of IRIB and the Renewable Energy Organization discussed the establishment of working groups related to solar farms and cultural promotion in the field of renewable energy production. They emphasized the need to examine the necessary grounds for establishing renewable energy power plants and to continuously produce reports and news in IRIB's news agency.
