Brigadier General Hossein Rahimi, the head of the Economic Security Police of Faraja, announced a 40 to 45 percent increase in smuggling discoveries in the first half of this year compared to the same period last year. He stated that in the area of fuel discoveries, approximately 191 million liters of fuel have been discovered, indicating a 14 to 15 percent increase in discoveries in this area.

Police Actions in the Economic War

Rahimi, referring to the actions of the Economic Security Police in the context of the economic war, stated: One of the important issues that has been particularly prioritized by the police during the economic war is the fight against hoarding, hiding goods, and not supplying them to the market. With the establishment of a joint task force and cooperation with other agencies, we have witnessed an increase in the discoveries of hoarding in essential goods.

The discovered goods will be made available to the public across the country in coordination with the judiciary and the Trade Organization. Rahimi emphasized that the actions of the Economic Security Police in the economic war are being carried out with seriousness, speed, and readiness, and our colleagues at the central and provincial levels are pursuing these missions with all their might.

Firm Action Against Economic Offenders

In response to a question about the police's warning to individuals who disrupt the economic system of the country through hoarding and disruption during wartime, he referred to these individuals as "economic terrorists." He added: We are in a state of war, and the enemy officially and openly declares that our war is an economic war.

The head of the Economic Security Police of Faraja clarified that legal actions will be pursued with greater seriousness and decisiveness. The police, the judiciary, and the Trade Organization will take legal and firm action against offenders with the existing planning and coordination. Rahimi also urged the public to cooperate with the police in identifying and reporting economic violations, and the number 30110 is available 24/7 to receive public reports on economic crimes.

Rahimi further stated that the mission of the Economic Security Police is to oversee the healthy process of economic activities in various sectors of trade, production, job creation, and the fields of imports and exports. He emphasized that the police's primary approach in dealing with economic actors is a positive and supportive one, and the police stand alongside all those who are active in various economic sectors.

In conclusion, Rahimi noted that through synergy, unity, and solidarity, we can overcome the current conditions and achieve great things in collaboration with responsible agencies and economic actors.
